Abstract
Data Virtualization: Efficiently Integrating Distributed Systems
This presentation explores data virtualization, a method that allows access and organization of data from distributed systems without physically centralizing it. We’ll discuss how this is achieved through Unified Namespace models and virtual hierarchies, and how it differs from traditional hardware virtualization. Additionally, we’ll present practical examples of how this approach enhances operational efficiency and flexibility in industrial environments, preserving independence of automation islands, highlighting a use case with the Tatsoft FrameworX platform.
